This traditional massage is used as pinch and pull. It is an intense form of massage. It is not used for relaxation massage. Tuina massage is based on the traditional Chinese medicine theory of qi. Qi is a life force energy that flows through channels in the body which are called meridians. The practice incorporates more intense acupressure techniques to bring the body into balance, remove obstructions in energy pathways and increase the body  vital energy.
